Following from part 1 where we stripped down the enclosure we are now ready to apply the veneer.

The veneer we are using is ash wood from Veneers Online – Link here. It comes on a 250x30cm roll which is enough to do 2 speakers if so desired.

Starting to apply veneer
Varnishing started

It is quite time consuming as you need to apply varnish, wait for it to dry, sand it down and repeat a few times to get a good finish but the end result is worth it.

I am working on a custom SnapCast based home system which will allow you to set speakers as left, right, mono or stereo so I may build another one of these so I have a stereo pair. I have another identical speaker and all the PCBs and components. Will see how this one turns out first
